This announcement from world-class thereminist, Charlie Lester:

"Tomorrow afternoon, I will be at the Barbara Streisand Recording Stage at Sony Pictures in Culver City. This is the very recording stage where, among other films, "The Wizard of Oz" and "Gone With the Wind" were scored. The stage -- which was built in 1929 when the lot was home to MGM and used in scoring hundreds of films, including three that starred Streisand -- was dedicated to Streisand in 2004.

I'll be there to play the theremin for the sound track for a new animated 3-D feature film entitled MONSTER HOUSE. ("Three teenagers discover that their neighbor's house is really a living, breathing, scary monster.")

It's produced by Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis, directed by Gil Kenan and stars Mitchel Musso, Jason Lee, Sam Lerner, Spencer Locke, Steve Buscemi, Kathleen Turner and Fred Willard. The score was written by Douglas Pipes."
